District 14 honorees
Congratulations to the following band students who were selected for the District 14 Concert Band:
Holly Long (flute), Brian Taylor (snare drum), Mike Wiese (euphonium) and Wendy Gillis (1st alt. saxophone).
Competition was fierce and in order to secure a spot in this concert, these students had to endure auditions and wait for word to come if they made the cut or not.
Students will rehearse with a guest conductor at Loudoun Valley High School on Feb. 1 and 2 and then perform ,with three bands consisting of over 100 players each, at a free concert on Sunday, Feb. 3 at Loudoun Valley High School. The public is invited to attend.
Please remember to congratulate these students for their admission into this elite band.
