plans picnic
Members of the Sperryville Methodist Church would like to extend an invitation to the Rappahannock community to attend a church picnic on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Rappahannock Park. Food will be provided.
Services at the Sperryville Methodist Church include Sunday School at 10 a.m. and worship at 11:15. Rev. Merlin Shorb is pastor at Sperryville.
RRCSB cancels
August meeting
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board and Area Agency on Aging has canceled its Aug. 13 meeting.
The next regular monthly meeting of the Board will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Bradford Road Office, Culpeper.
RAA to conduct
fall registration
Rappahannock Athletic Association will conduct their fall baseball and softball season registration on Sunday, Aug. 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. during their league picnic at Stuart Field on US 211 in Amissville.
Cost of registration is $25. Eligible are Rappahannock, Culpeper and Fauquier girls 16 years old and under and Rappahannock and Culpeper boys 15 years old and younger. Players new to RAA need to bring their original birth certificates.
