James Lewis

James Tyler Lewis, 72, of Washington, D.C. formerly of Sperryville died on Monday, July 15 at his residence.
He was an inventory stockman for Hahn's Shoe Store.
Mr. Lewis was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville.
His parents were the late Charles C. and Betsy Matthew Lewis.
Survivors include one brother, Thomas Lewis of Sperryville; four sisters, Mae Proctor and Betsy Myles of Maryland, Harriet Lewis of Sperryville and Rev. Anna All sherry of Flint Hill; ohe aunt, Lottie Aylor; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Proctor and James Allsberry; one sister-in-law, Andrea Lewis; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a sister, Virginia Lewis; four brothers, Andrew Lewis, Charles Lewis, Richard Lewis and Harry Lewis; an aunt, Mabel Logan and a special nephew, John H. Lewis.
Graveside services were conducted on Monday, July 29 at Quantico National Cemetery with the Rev. Henry A. Townes officiating.
