The Rappahannock County 4-H Program has fun. educational and exciting activities planned for the upcoming year. Monthly club meetings begin in September. Most clubs meet after school in the Extension Office in Washington. - Some other clubs meet in villages across the county in the evenings or weekends. *
Elaine Kramer is the volunteer leader of the Cloverbud Club. This club is for 4-H members 5-8 years old. The Cloverbud program is an introductory program to 4-H. Members are non competitive. They learn and experience all areas of 4-H.
The Rappahannock County 4-H Livestock Club is the oldest 4-H Club in Rappahannock County. Under the adult leadership of Randall Updike and Jim Massie, this club has produced members who bring home Grand Champion awards not only from local fairs but the State Fair.
The 4-H Livestock Club is for youth 9-19 years old. They work on their project animals all year. They learn different areas of raising different livestock.
