Otha Gatewood, 75, of Rappahannock County died on Tuesday, July 23 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
He was a self-employed agriculturist.
Survivors include two daughters, Melissa and Frances Gatewood; one stepdaughter, Mary Frances Dunn; two step-sons, John Carter and Frank Carter; a lifetime companion, Dorothy Starks; one granddaughter, Andrea Gatewood; one brother, James Gatewood and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at Promise Land Baptist Church near Washington on Sunday, July 28 with Rev. Herbert Johnson, pastor, officiating.
Interment was in the family cemetery, Washington.
W.C. Thompson Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
