The Rappahannock County Farm Bureau will be holding a free seminar, open to the public on Monday, Aug. 19 at the Rappahannock County Farm Bureau Office on Medicare Supplements and Long Term Care.

Smokehouse to

host “Mead and

Music” fest

Saturday

Smokehouse Winery will host an impromptu “Mead and Music” fest on Saturday, Aug 17. Featured meads from the states only meadery include: Berry Mead(wineberry), Honeysuckle Mead, and Smokehouse’s Traditional Mead.

Scheduled performers include: Craig Honeycutt of Everything and a friend (playing acoustic), Marshal Huey trio (jazz/fusion), and Ellen and Mana (acoustic folk-from Madison). The event will last from 1 -7 p.m. and a $10 entrance fee ($8 for Rappahannock residents) allows revelers tastes of each mead then a glass of their preferred.

Heidi Eastham’s wonderful cheeses will be available as well for nibbling. Smokehouse’s owner John Hallberg invites everyone out to enjoy the rrteadery/tunes.
