Our deep sympathy is extended to the family of Mrs. Roberta Hawkins Collier, who passed away last Sunday at the home of her daughter in Charlottesville; and also to the family of Miss Gladys Jenkins, a former Slate Mills lady who at the age of 81 passed away Friday, Aug 2 at the Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Wedding anniversary bells will be ringing on Saturday for Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Cubbage; on Sunday, Aug. 18 for our friends, Dr. and Mrs. Wayne Thompson; and on Monday, Aug. 19 Bill and Ruth Peregory observe another year together.
Suppose quite a few of our older folks remember the “Studebaker” and had an opportunity to visit and observe them for the “Studebaker Day” held at Country Cookin on Sunday.
