Newbill Miller of Washington has been appointed manager of the Washington Apple Growers cold storage plant. He assumed (duties in this capacity Aug. 15. Mr. Miller was appointed by the Board of Directors after they had accepted the resignation of James W. Coates, who had been manager for a number of years.
The Rev. B. Gale Titchnell, pastor of Woodville Baptist Church and a teacher at Rappahannock County High School, received la Master of Science in Education degree from Madison College, Harrisonburg on Aug. 10. With the acquiring of the Master’s degree Rev. Titchnell is also eligible for a graduate professional certificate for teaching in the schools of Virginia and having majored in guidance, he now meets the qualifications for certification in this field.
Rawlings Furniture Company in Front Royal was advertising sidewalk specials. Included 'in the ad: four-piece all purpose living room suite for $94.95; aluminum folding chairs for $4.49; mattress and spring for $34.88 each and a five piece mahogany dinette set for $64.88.

A full day kindergarten program will be offered in Rappahannock County for the first time when School opens on Aug. 29. The County School Board members voted last week to authorize the full day program at the recommendation of Superintendent William Bloomer.
