The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP) will hold a public forum from 7:30 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 19 at the Rappahannock Library to discuss “soil disturbance”. At the July Board of Supervisors meeting, John McCarthy, County Administrator, commented that the county “should go to land- disturbing permits” since the current policy is not working for control of sediment erosion. This topic is tentatively on the agenda for the Board’s September meeting.
