Despite what some tourists think when they drive through the rolling beauty of Rappahannock County, it in - not a county of only the rich anti famous.
And while even some of the people who live here think there is no poverty, they are “oblivious” says Marie Davis of the conditions under which some county residents live.
“As far as some people here are concerned, there are no poor people, but there are, as a matter of fact,” says Mrs. Davis of the county’s social services department.
