Congratulations to Ellie Van Nostrand, who made the all “A" honor roll for the semester at A. G. Richardson Elementary, where she is a student.
The public is invited to attend the Christmas program for all ages at the Novum Baptist Church on Dec. 22 beginning at 6:30 p.m. A special candlelight service beginning at 7 p.m. will be held on Christmas Eve. Pastor Jeff Light and congregation extend a hearty welcome.
“Toys for Tots” program is being sponsored again this year by Clore-English Funeral Home, and the collection for items donated will run through Wednesday, Dec. 18.
Boy Scout Troop 198 with John Dodson as Cubmaster has made contributions, as well as many other participants.
Many children would be without toys for Christmas if it were not for this program. Anyone in our area who would like to help can call the Clore-English Funeral Home as to where toys can be dropped off.
