Raymond Brown Freeman, 75, died Dec. 6 at the Veterans Medical Center in Martinsburg, W. Va.
He is survived by his daughter, Margaret Carter, and grandson Gregory Carter, of Hillcrest Heights, Md.; his sisters, Edith Bridget and Ora Ray, both of Washington, Va., and Lucy Reece of Cumberland, Md.; and his brother, John M. Summons of Canton, Ohio.
Also his devoted cousin, Lillian Aylor, and special friend and caregiver, Rachael Aylor, both of Sperryville.
Funeral services were held Dec. 11 at Promise Land Baptist Church, Washington, Va. Interment was in the Culpeper National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society, 2464 Valley Ave., Suite B, Winchester, VA 22601.
