Snow ranging up to eight inches blanketgd this area Sunday. Starting about 8:30 in the morning, it fell steadily until late afternoon when it became mixed with sleet and continued into the night. Accompanied by driving winds which whipped the countryside throughout Monday, the snow drifted and secondary roads were blocked. Temperatures dropped to about eight degrees on Monday and Tuesday mornings, moderating somewhat on Wednesday.

Work is progressing on the Rappahannock Library as rapidly as funds become available. Most recent work was the removal of the floor when it was discovered that there has been considerable termite damage to the supporting beams. Plans have been made to repair the ceiling at this time also with funds available and an appeal is made again for donations to continue this restoration.
