School Food Drive
Meanwhile, Rappahannock County Elementary School is sponsoring a Christmas Food Basket Drive, collecting food and other needed items through Dec. 18, for families in the county.
Candace Lamma, elementary school counselor, has printed a list by grade of what each school child from kindergarten through seventh grade, is being asked to bring to help in this drive. The items range from Pop Tarts and macaroni and cheese to toothbrushes, first aid supplies, and gloves.
“We have been very successful in the past and I am sure that this year will again exhibit your generous and kind nature,” wrote Ms. Lamma in a statement accompanying the list of items given to each student.
