Belle Grove located in Middletown near the intersection of 1-81 and 1-66 is once again offering Christmas tours, Dec. 12-15 and Dec. 19-22.
Daytime tours are available Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m.
Evening candlelight tours are offered from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursdays through Sundays.
Daytime tours of the decorated mansion are $8 for adults, Belle Grove members and children 12 and under are free. Farfelu to host holiday festival
Farfelu Vineyard and Winery’s holiday festival will be held Saturday, Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 15 from noon to 5 p.m. each day. Featured activities will include live seasonal music by guitarists Vyktoria Pratt Keating on Saturday and Dan Schneibel Jr. on Sunday; as well as mulled wine and an "end-of-harvest" bonfire.
Cost is $5 per person including wine tasting and souvenir glass. There is no charge for children. Farfelu is Virginia's oldest winery and is located on Route 647 in Flint Hill. For additional information call 364-2930.
Historic homes on tour for holiday
The Strasburg Heritage Association, together with the Massanutten Garden Club, is presenting its second annual Christmas Heritage Homes Tour on Saturday. Dec 14 from noon to 5 p.m. and extends an invitation to Rappahannock residents to attend.
