Town Council member Claudia Mitchell spoke up on behalf of the Town Council, saying, “We thought we did the right thing.” She noted that while the council did approve the variance for Goodine’s front yard he must still return to the other steps in the process which he had skipped, including creating a site plan and attaining a work order.
As criticism continued for the Goodine decision, Mitchell said, “Pointing fingers isn’t going to get us anywhere. We don’t use each others experience, we point fingers and blame everybody, and I think it’s about time we stop that.”
