When we ask ourselves, what is important right now in this time of our lives, each of us can come up with as many answers as there are to that question. But is there something here that ties us together as people trying to get along, as neighbors in a community where we each have our own opinions. What binds us together as a community? We can easily look around and say it is this vast paradise called Rappahannock County that we so treasure. That is true. But it is only part of the story. What really binds us together is that forming of opinions and alliances that comes after working together and either being rewarded or being defeated, rejected and coming out with our heads above water and hoping that what we truly believe in will ultimately prevail.
