I.oudoun County Government Full-time position oversees initial intake and assessment process for all newly admitted youths to the Juvenile Detention Center. Performs clinical assessments via interview and testing instruments to ascertain mental health, behavioral and security status. Make referrals when appropriate for further assessment re: adjustment problems, suicidal ideation, medication or hospitalization. Act as case manager for all detained youths ensuring that they understand the adjudication process and maintain regular contact with all professionals related to their case. Act as clinical supervisor to security staff for consultation and decision making regarding youths behavioral and mental health issues. Ed and exp equiv to a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, and two years and six months experience working directly with troubled adolescents.
