WHEREAS, the passing of Robert Louis Herrema has left a void in the community of Rappahannock County; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. HetTema, a mechanical engineer by training, had a long and distinguished career as a staffer in the U.S. Senate, a restorer and redeveloper of fine properties and as an appraiser of real estate; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Herrema was a dedicated and committed member of the Rappahannock County Board of Zoning Appeals, having served on that body from May 14, 1999 through April, 2003$v

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Zoning Appeals of Rappahannock County, that it mourns the passing of their colleague Mr. Robert Louis Herrema; that it wishes to formally extend its sympathies to his family at their loss; and that it further extends those sympathies to his many friends in our community who feel it keenly as well.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be spread across the minute book of the Board of Zoning Appeals of Rappahannock County and that a presentation copy be provided to the family of Robert Louis Herrema, with suitable ceremony and expressions of the Board members’ regard.
