While trying to earn his Eagle Badge, a local Boy Scout is saving taxpayers money by creating a database program with pictures of the historically significant structures of Warrenton.
Armed with a digital camera, 15-year-old Larry Oliver, Jr., of Amissville has been seen all over the historic district photographing homes and businesses listed in the 1998 Historic Architectural Survey of the Warrenton Historical District.
As a form of community . service, Oliver, a Life Scout and a member of the Rixeyville Troop #1731, will earn his Eagle Badge by taking on the endeavor of creating the framework for a geographical information system map of the historic district.
