After an afternoon of photographing the often hidden historic homes, Oliver goes to the Warrenton Town Hall and enters the pictures into a GIS database.
Oliver’s father, Larry Oliver, Sr., works on the GIS system for the town and he credits Andrew Hushour with the idea for his son’s Eagle Badge.
Hushour explained that when first employed by the town of Warrenton and while working with Oliver, Sr., on the GIS system, he commented that a GIS program of the historic structures would be very helpful.
He went on to explain that a map of the historic sites in town that included all work done on a structure could only benefit all.
And with that one comment, Oliver went to his son, who liked the idea
