Candidates for the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors gave nearly 100 voters their views on growth and development and other issues at a forum Tuesday night.
The event at The Theatre in Little Washington was sponsored and organized by the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEPi.
There were no great surprises at the one and a half hour forum. There appeared to be more agreement than differences of opinion.
In the evening's most emotional moment, Ron Frazier, incumbent Jackson District, said he wants everyone to get along, to care about each other and to talk more with neighbors. "We are one community, one goal, he said. At these words, Frazier was offered a bear hug by "Yogi Bear. Hampton District challenger, to the delight of the audience.
Issues and questions ranged widely, including the school budget, property taxes, commercial and residential development, junk cars, cell towers.
