the School Board will make any further decisions on this matter at its late October work session or the November regular meeting. If and when a donation is presented, the Board will make a decision at that time to accept or reject the donation."

Chappell gave this statement in the press release: "I recommended the above action to the School Board in September after being contacted by the Rappahannock Sheriff s Department about a citizen's complaint about seeing a nude man riding a motorcycle on a public road. The individual apparently told the deputy that he was posing for a calendar to support upgrades to the school track. I support the Board s unanimous action. I also support an orderly process for determining how supplemental funding may be obtained for the schools. Currently there is no established process for individual citizens to use if they wish to raise funds for the schools. The citizens sponsoring and participating in this fund-raising project all had good intentions. They want our students to have the best facilities. We appreciate their intent.

"Finally, we are not providing interviews and answering further questions on this matter, in part because we need to focus on our mission of providing excellent educational services and programs for Rappahannock County students. Because of our size we do not employ additional personnel to participate in interviews."
