Fur bearer hunting season began Oct. 15 for opossum and raccoon. You may hunt bobcat and fox beginning Nov. 1.
Make sure you pick up a copy of the new regulations when you get your hunting license. There are some interesting new state-wide changes for the 2003-2004 season.
Some such changes are: opossum, rabbit and raccoon season has been extended through March 10; a special archery season to hunt bear and a four-day muzzle loading season has been established (Nov. 11-14). There are some new laws concerning hunting with dogs.
