Retired Construction Engineer from the Virginia Department of Transportation with 36 years of service. • In excess of 40 years of service with the Amissville Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company serving in numerous capacities and presently President. • Vice President of the Rappahannock County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association • Presently serving on the Administrative & Communication Committees of the Culpeper County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association. • Rappahannock County 's representative to the Board of Directors of the Rappahannock Emergency Medical Services council. • Member Amissville Baptist Church. Listed below are some objectives in which I would like to see accomplished. • Maintain Rappahannock as an open space county, with some adjustments in our zoning to allow our children and grandchildren to remain in the county, by having the boundaries of our villages established. • Welcome environmentally acceptable industries, maybe by offering some type of proffers to encourage this to happen. • Explore and devise a method to ensure that our fire and rescue services remain volunteer. • Establish working relationships with other counties to combine services, such as with insurance for all county and school employees, landfill services, lire & rescue maintenance of equipment, etc. • Long term planning for our school system. • Long term planning for the future of Rappahannock in establishing budget surpluses to eliminate the reaction process.
