As I drive through this
county on my way to and from work I notice a lot of signs for either Sheriff Larry Sherertz or Steve Butler for sheriff I know that this issue hits home for a lot of people. I also know that it is a personal issue for a lot of people.
I don’t think that it should be a personal issue. We as parents should be more concerned about the safety of our children than anything. And during last year’s sniper case in the area, Sheriff Sherertz not only ensured the security of the students by beefing up the police presence around each of our schools, he took it upon himself to oversee the security of the kindergartners by monitoring the kids during their recess.
