Chris Frazier gave awesome defensive plays. The Rapp bats were not as hot as the coach would like but the boys plaved great.

The Rapp 1 & 2 Major teams played a double header on Saturday. Manny Garcia’s team won both games. The first score was 2-1; the second was 4-3. Both games were close and fastpaced. There was good pitching by Taylor Yowell, Brad Johnson and Sammy Purdom. Good fielding by Chris Garcia, Evan Espinola and Cody Casey. Good at bats by Matt Hackney and Jake Decourcey. Both teams played great games and have done a fine job this season.

Randy Johnson’s Minor team played a double header against a team from Marshall. The Marshall team came up victorious, but Rapp gave it their all on both sides of the plate. Sean Michael Knick delivered a strong pitching performance the first game striking out six batters.

Ryan Johnson tied the game with an RBI single to right center field in the fourth inning. Charlie Peavley going 2 for 2 with a double, a triple and a run scored turned in strong play. Colton Clate also played at an all-star level, going 1 for 2 with a triple and a strong defensive performance behind the plate throwing out stealing base runners with laser like throws. The game was tight with Marshall winning in the last inning with a shot off the third base bag, bouncing into the outfield and scoring the winning run from second base.

The second game of the double-header was a tough one for Rappahannock losing 8 - 0. The team just could not get it togeth, er. The first game used up a lot ' of their emotions and energy according to the coach. Several errors and some great hits by the Fauquier players were too much to overcome. Blaine Laffin gave a good pitching performance.
