Born in Sperryville
Dolly Marie Hitt, 70, of Haymarket died on Oct. 17 at Prince William Hospital.
Mrs. Hitt was bom Jan. 30, 1933 in Sperryville to the late Lester Boot Jenkins, and Fannie Jenkins Fincham.
She was a homemaker and a member of Little River Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hitt was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Woods.
She is survived by her husband Clarence E. Hitt of 50 years, two daughters, Bernice Austin of Gainesville and Shirley McIntosh of Aldie and two sons, Frank Hitt and James Hitt, both of Haymarket.
Additional survivors include two brothers, Willie Jenkins of Page County and Lester Boot Jenkins of Maryland, five sisters, Mary Lee Luber of Savage, Md., Helen Jenkins of Fairfax, Shirle^ Bailey of Haymarket, Virginia Dudley of Manassas, Lucy Beavers of Woodbridge, and Katie Hampton of Florida, 14 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
A funeral service was held Oct. 22 at the Moser Funeral Home Chapel in Warrenton. Interment followed at the Sperryville Cemetery.

Bom in Flint Hill
Gladys Clark Moore, 93, of Warrenton died Oct 16 at the home of her daughter .
Mrs. Moore was bom March 22,1910 in Flint Hill to the late Omer and Mattie Clark.
She was retired from Kann’s Department Store after 23 years of service and was the oldest member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by two brothers, Aubrey and Walvet Clark and two sisters, Rosa Payne and Lucille Blosser.
She is survived by one daughter, Martha Mae Giles one sister-in-law and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Oct. 21 at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Warrenton with Rev. Waldron Rosheim officiating. Interment followed at the Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas.
