Superintendent Bob Chappell came before the School Board with a presentation on the recently released Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) report last Tuesday. The report, a part of the 2001 No Child Left Behind Act, was released for the first time this year.
While Rappahannock County Elementary School met AYP standards the high school and the division as a whole did not.
Chappell is concerned with these results, as well as by the manner in which data is being collected.
