football improves
to 4 -1 with victory

The Rappahannock County High School Panthers stunned the Central-Woodstock Falcons with a 43-0 victory on Oct. 14.
Rappahannock started off scoring on its first drive. It was a six-play, 78-yard drive capped off with a five-yard run for the touchdown by Nick Compton. The extra point failed. Still in the first quarter, Dylan Corbin scored on a three-vard quarterback sneak set up by an interception by Ethan Berry. The quarter ended with the Panthers leading 12-0.
Eric Phillips ran 64 yards for the touchdown to open the second quarter. Paige Payne converted the point after to make the score 190. Payne scored the next touchdown on a 15yard reverse and converted the extra point. The final scoring in the first half came on a 24-yard run by Eric Phillips. Payne made that extra point to give the Panthers a 33-0 halftime lead.
