High School Principal Roger Mello responded that there seemed t o be a great deal of confusion surrounding AYP requirements.
“The perception is out there now that we’re not meeting the standards,” he said.
The problem though, he said, is not that students can not meet standards, pointing out that students passed last year’s Standards of Learning and both will likely be fully accredited.
“They’ve met every standard that we understand,” he said, adding that he believes students will also meet this once there is a better understanding of its requirements.
