“It’s important that drivers take extra precaution this time of year,” said Rappahannock County Sheriff Larry Sherertz. “They need to know what is around and on the roadways.”
Sherertz said his office gets several reports each week of livestock in the roads throughout the county. So far this year, he’s had 109 complaints of this nature, which averages out to about 11 calls per month.
