With election day just around the corner and voters pondering the direction the nation will take politically and culturally, Richard Viguerie’s new book offers insights concerning two revolutions that are not only playing a significant role in this year’s presidential election but have transformed America during the past half century.

“America’s Right Turn— How Conservatives Used New and Alternative Media to Take Power” is the first book to reveal the direct linkage between the conservative political revolution and the alternative media revolution.

Viguerie, a resident of Castleton and co-author of the book, will discuss and sign copies of his book on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Old Sperryville Bookshop. The event is free, open to the public, and sure to generate lively discussion.

The book details how conservatives, shut out by the liberal mass media of the 1950s and 60s, came to power by utilizing new and alternative media, and then created their own mass media.
