I read with interest and no little amazement Ms. Fox’s letter to the editor on Oct. 7. I wondered indeed if we had listened to the same debate.
How could we possibly have another war? We have 10 divisions; eight of these are on a constant cycle of deployment, or refitting on their return, or retraining preparing to return to Bush’s war. Two divisions to fight North Korea or China seems hardly possible even given the current leadership in the Pentagon.
It is much more plausible to suggest a war with Grenada, perhaps the Cayman Islands...someplace where we don’t have to do too much planning. It’s not the
