Oriental dance classes

Charmaine Lee, SynergyDance director, is starting a new series of Oriental Dance classes for five weeks beginning Oct.19. Classes are held Tuesdays at 6 p.m. at the Belle Meade School House in Sperryville. Bring a scarf, skirt and a mat. Cost is $60 for the series and $15 for drop in. Garden club trip

The Rappahannock County Garden Club invites anyone interested to join them on an all-day chartered bus trip on Oct. 20 to the U.S. Botanic Gardens and other Capitol gardens in Washington D C. The tour will be led by the Botanic Gardens senior landscape architect and horticulturist. A $5 deposit and bag lunch are required. Water and dessert will be provided. Free film

Hearthstone School will host its annual fall festival Oct. 23 at 5 p.m. This year's event includes a raffle for a 2005 Mini Cooper S.
