The Rappahannock County varsity football team traveled to Front Royal last Saturday looking to get back on the winning track against Randolph Macon Academy, another team without a district schedule.
Instead, it was the Yellow Jackets (2-4) who got back on track, with a 40-13 win at home over the Panthers.
Rappahannock (1-6), in its first year at the varsity level, will play a full Bull Run District schedule next season.
The Panthers found themselves in a hole from the start when Randolph Macon’s Tim Maypray took the opening kickoff back 78 yards for a touchdown.
