The doors will open at the Washington School on Mt. Salem Avenue for the ninth annual Fall Auction and Party on Nov. 13 at 5:30 p.m.
This gala event is the only fund-raising event of the year for the Child Care and Learning Center, an event that takes the year to plan, coordinate and execute. This huge undertaking is spearheaded by the Friends of CCLC, a committee of volunteers headed by Amy Burnett, vice-president of the CCLC Board of Directors.
The entrance fee of $20 helps cover the cost of the lavish spread of food and drink that is part of the evening’s festivities. Mary Arthur’s Culinary Arts program from Rappahannock County High School is responsible for all of the food preparation, which gives her students experience in catering a large event.
