On July 6, by unanimous vote, the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors rejected the request by Ibny and Kelley Williams for approval of a private sewage treatment facility in Chester Gap. But they did leave a very slim possibility for such a facility in the future under very limited circumstances. The, facility, which the county planning commission previously voted to oppose, would have allowed the Williams family to build a residence on a parcel in Chester Gap that is unsuitable for a septic system.
