RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION:
CARSON BEAHM JOHNSON
WHEREAS, the passing of Carson B. Johnson has deprived this community of Rappahannock County of a stalwart leader, citizen, husband, grandfather, father, and friend.
WHEREAS, Carson served his community, his Commonwealth and his nation with distinction with the U.S. Army. 82nd Airborne in World War II returning to Rappahannock and marrying the former Aline Brown, his bride of fifty-five years, and making his home with her here for the rest of his life; and.
WHEREAS, Carson's community activities while too numerous to recount in full, but included being a charter member of the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority, the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department, the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad, Sperryville VFW Post #1150, and the Rappahannock Lion’s Club.
NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, that it mourns the passing of our friend Carson B. Johnson; that it wishes to formally extend its sympathies to his family at their loss; and that it further extends those sympathies to the hundreds of his friends in our community who feel it keenly as well.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be spread across the minute book ot the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County and that a presentation copy be provided to the family of Carson Beahm Johnson with suitable ceremony and expressions of the Board of Supervisors members’ regard.
