Barbara D. Berry Barbara Dodson Berry, 55, of Rutherford College, N.C., \ died Sunday, July 3, 2005, at Valdese General Hospital. She was bom September 15, 1949 in Charlottesville to the late Milton and Vennie Clark Dodson. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Dodson. Survivors include her husband Richard C. “Rick” Berry of the home; a son, Clint Berry of Rutherford College; a daughter Kristina Sutton and husband George of Raleigh N.C.; two brothers, Milton Dodson Jr. of Manassas, and John Dodson of Catlett; and six sisters, Mary F. Gentry and Anne Jenkins of Manassas, Lucille Atkins of Culpeper, Lillian Jenkins, Betty Keys, and Shirley Dodson of Boston, Va. Also Surviving are two grandchildren, Matthew and Timothy Sutton of Raleigh, N.C. A funeral service was held Tuesday, July 5, in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, N.C., The Rev. Paul Deal officiated. Interment followed in Burke Memorial Park.
