It costs about $5,000 for a new septic system, or if you go for one of the new altemative/innovative treatment systems, figure about $25,000 as a start, maybe $65,000 for a high-end unit.
The homeowner’s viewpoint? Most exhibit little interest in their septic system. Some do not even know they have one. If they know they have one, there’s a good chance they don’t know where it is.
