As a potential backup posi tion, if the school board or board of supervisors decided the projects are too expensive. Chappell expressed the possibility of eliminating the pro posed band room addition af the elementary school. Instead, one might replace th< existing, modular structure with a new, modular structure He has investigated the possi bility in a very preliminary manner, and suggested a ballpark figure of $50,000.

If this were done, the total package would be well within the originally anticipated range.
