OR REDUCED PRICE MEALS
August 1, 2005 Rappahannock County Public School today announced its policy tor providing free or reduced price meals for children served under the National School Lunch and or School Breakfast Programs Each school and/or central office has a copy of the policy which may by reviewed by any interested party The household size and income criteria identified below will be used to determine eligibility for free or reduced price meal benefits Children from households whose income is at or below the levels shown are eligible for either free or reduced price meals Children who are members of food stamp households or who receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) are automatically eligible for free meals Foster children who are the legal responsibility of a welfare agency or court also may be eligible for benefits regardless of the income of the household with whom they reside Eligibility for the foster child is based on the child's income Children who are members of household participating in WIC may also be eligible for free or reduced price meals based on the household s income Household Size Maximum Household Income For Free Meals Household Income For Reduced Price Meals $12,441 $12,441.01 - $17,705 $16,679 $16,679.01 - $23,736 $20,917 $20,317.01 - $29,767 $25,155 $25,155 01 - $35,798 $29,393 $29.393 01 - $41829 $33,631 $33,631.01 - $47880 $37,869 $37,869.01 - $53891 8 $42,107 $42,107 01 - $59922 For Each Additional Family Member - ADD $4,238 $6,031
