To Open Office in County
Dr. Philip Ferlazzo of Quantico will open a dental office in Washington, Va. July 27. The office will be located in the clinic room in the rear of Washington Elementary School.
Dr. Ferlazzo will have a private practice in addition to doing the dental work for students of Rappahannock County Schools.
He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Dental School, and has just completed two years of duty as a Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps in Fort Bliss, Texas. ...
All adults and high school students, and as many as possible of the elementary students are urged to have dental work done before SeptemU 1, for after the opening of school, the elementary dental clinic work must be done. ... Dr. Ferlazzo has been secured through the Rappahannock Dental Committee, which is composed of Mrs. Mary Botts Quaintance, H. B. Mckay Participates in Model Conference
Rising Rappahannock Senior Jona McKay was one of 96 students selected from high schools all across Virginia to participate in the nation’s first annual Model Executive Conference held in Richmond during July 6-10.
The conference, initiated by Lieutenant Governor Charles S. Robb, was designed to give selected high school students an opportunity to simulate the executive branch of government. ... Jona was given the opportunity to play the role of Senator Hunter B. Andrews.
“It was exciting to meet so many people from all over Virginia.” said Jona. “Everyone was very enthusiastic about the conference. It was enlightening to participate so actively”... Jona is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. McKay of Castleton.
