Supervisor Ron Frazier, Jackson District, who is also a member of the Rappahannock County Planning Commission, noted:. “The majority of us (on the County Planning Commission) had a problem with compliance. While Mr. Williams may be excellent, if the land is sold down the road... what about maintenance? I’d like to see everyone be able to build a house on their land, but this is a new situation.”
While unanimous in their objection to this particular proposal, the supervisors did not completely dismiss the possibility of a facility like this in the future. Chairman of the Board, Charles “Pete” Estes, (Piedmont District) asserted. “I could only see of one case where I would approve a system like this. That is if there were an existing house and that septic system had failed.”
