Starting in October: Free acting
lessons/theatre games
In anticipation of the Ki Theatre production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” on December 8, 9 and 10, Charlene James-Duguid will offer free acting lessons and theatre games for children in the Jamieson Room of the Rappahannock Library, 4 p. m. to 5:30.
Children 4 to 6 years old: Friday, November 3
Children 7 to 11: Wednesdays, October 25, November 1
Young People 12 and older: Thursdays, October 26, November 2
All children are invited to attend any or all of the sessions. Auditions for children’s roles will be in early November. Classes are not required for auditioning but will be a good way to prepare for a part. Please call (540) 937-4727 for information and to let us know who will be attending. Care Coalition meeting

Oct. 27: Fairy Tale Walk
Hearthstone School will hold its annual Fairy Tale Walk on the lower school grounds starting at 7 p.m. This is a favorite annual event, as parents, students and friends reenact fairy tales to the delight of the audience, which is led through the darkening twilight to each performance area, lit up by candles, lanterns and lights. Treats are provided for the children. This is a wonderful fall evening, and a fun and safe way to celebrate Halloween. All members of the community are welcome to attend and the Fairy Tale walk is free of charge. Please call the school office at 540-987-9212 for additional information.
Oct. 27: RLEP Annual Meeting
The festive RLEP annual meeting will take place on Friday, October 27, at 7:30 p.m., in the Flint Hill Fire House. All are welcome for social time, refreshments, a small auction, a brief presentation, and fun. Visit www.RLEP.org for information on RLEP’s activities.
