today, the voters of Piedmont District must elect a new supervisor to fill the very large shoes of Pete Estes. Eddie Wayland is uniquely qualified to take Pete’s seat.
His ancestral roots in Rappahannock County stretch down to the earliest settlement of the area.
He attended high school here, and after school worked at The Comer Store, delivering groceries up and down every road and in every hollow. He helped his uncle, the late Carson Johnson, in the service station at the comer of Rts. 211 and 522 now owned by James Shaw.
No other candidate could be more trusted to fight to keep Rappahannock County the way all of us want to keep it, scenic and rural as stated in our comprehensive plan and free of the encroachment of development creeping in from outside.
I urge you to vote for Eddie Wayland on November 7.
