The whole truth about the socalled
“Marriage Amendment” (Ballot Question #1 on November 7th) to our state constitution is not known by a lot of Virginia voters. Many have been led to believe that this amendment is solely about keeping marriage between one man and one woman. This is not true. Marriage being between one man and one woman has been law for 30 years, is presently covered by three different state laws, and will still be law whether “Amendment 1” is passed or defeated.
