Rappahannock County government and the Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) recently finalized plans to protect a 55-acre property outside of Sperryville. The agreement is the first in a concerted effort to help preserve Rappahannock land offering histone, envmmmental or scenic benefits.
Under the terms of the agreement, the property, owned by -John and Delma Bagley, will be put into conservation casement, with future development almost entirely prohibited.
Easement agreements transfer from one owner to the next, and on site monitonng is required to ensure that the conditions established to protect the land are not violated
