Recreation Center Manager for indoor recreation center at Claude Moore Park in Sterling, VA; open daily from 5:30am-10:00pm & weekends from 8:00am-8:00pm. Willing to work a flexible schedule, oversee facility operations & maintenance, meet customer satisfaction requirements by providing safe, clean, secure and aesthetically pleasing environment, staff supervision, adherence of Recreation Center policies, procedures & safety requirements for staff/participants. Coordinate with Building Engineer to initiate/complete facility repairs according to policy and procedure, ensure regularly scheduled safety checks are performed and documented. Implement programming plans for all functional areas offacility. Oversee planning/implementation of classes and special events; evaluation of programs to ensure programs serve all segments at this revenue neutral facility, with mandate to meet or exceed multi-million dollar annual revenue requirement. Maintain staff records, documentation, reports for associated programs. Manage budget, meet revenue projections. Ensure all program needs are met, purchasing is completed within established polices/procedures. Manage credit card purchases, reconciliation of records according policy. Develop and manage recreation center marketing plan. Position will work closely with Claude Moore Park staff and all Community Center Managers. Masters degree in Leisure Service, Athletic Administration, or Physical Education or related field with 2 yrs exp in program and facility management working with the public, groups, and organizations. Experience must include a min of one year exp in a leadership-capacity managing a recreational program/center & supervising staff. Successful candidate will be decisive professional w/ solid record of accomplishments in recreation field with ability to build successful relationships, deliver quality programs/services to public in a very dynamic environment.
